The Bereavement Journey
Grief can be a deeply challenging and isolating experience, whether you are dealing with a recent loss or processing a bereavement from years ago. At Swallownest Baptist Church, we are offering The Bereavement Journey course to help you navigate your journey of grief in a safe, warm, and supportive environment.
About the Course
The Bereavement Journey is a 7-week series designed for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one. Developed by At A Loss, the UK’s signposting charity for the bereaved, the course uses short films and guided group discussions to explore key topics such as:
- Processing grief and understanding feelings of loss
- Managing difficult emotions and coping with change
- Finding hope and a way forward
The course is non-faith-based and open to anyone regardless of background or beliefs. The final (7th) week is entirely optional and offers space to explore faith perspectives on bereavement.

Cost: £25 per person (covers course materials and a small donation to At A Loss)
